Why are some models not featured on your website? It would help me to compare all your products.

A small selection of FoodSaver appliances and accessories are exclusively available from our retail partners, however, comparable products can be found right here on our website. We host the largest range of FoodSaver products on this site, including a range of genuine accessories which can be used with selected appliances.

What is the warranty on FoodSaver® appliances and accessories?

To offer you peace of mind when purchasing your FoodSaver vacuum sealing system, all of our vacuum sealing appliances come complete with a two-year warranty. Our consumables (bags and rolls) and accessories are provided with a one-year warranty for your convenience.

Can zipped storage bags, potato chip or pretzel bags be used in the FoodSaver® Appliance?

While open crisp packets (and other snack bags) can be resealed using the FoodSaver vacuum sealing system, make sure you don’t vacuum seal the packet as this will crush the contents. As for zip lock storage bags, these are not suitable for use with the FoodSaver system due to the heat generated during the sealing process. Such bags are likely to melt, which risks ruining your appliance.

Need assistance making a purchase?

How do I know when full vacuum has been achieved?

When the vacuum cycle ends, the appliance will go quiet and the vacuum light will switch off. Once this happens, it’s safe to remove the roll, bag or accessory hose from the appliance. The food will be vacuum-sealed and ready to be stored in the fridge, freezer or cupboard.

What is the moist and dry button for?

Depending on the type of food you’re sealing, the ‘moist’ and ‘dry’ functionality adjusts the seal type — achieving a perfect, airless seal no matter what the bag’s contents. During the vacuum sealing process, liquids can be drawn up, and have a cooling effect on the heat seal. By using the correct seal type (moist or dry), you can extend the seal time to compensate for liquid, creating a secure and reliable seal.

Tip: If you’re vacuum sealing very moist food, like stews and curries, let the bag hang slightly lower than the appliance; you can do this by resting it on an open kitchen draw. This will ensure that only a limited amount of liquid is able to get near the appliance during the sealing process.

What is the Pulse feature?

The PulseVac feature allows the vacuum sealing process to be started and stopped manually, providing greater control over air removal. This is ideal when vacuum sealing delicate or fragile food items, like pastries or crisps. Please be aware, however, that the PulseVac feature is available on selected FoodSaver appliances only.
